The Candulor Philosophy

Aesthetics and function

Candulor stands for top quality in the area of system prosthetics. By creating the concept ‚KunstZahnWerk®' (the art of prosthetics), Candulor has set itself the ambitious goal of highlighting and demonstrating the combination of aesthetics and functionality in complete denture prosthetics.

For Candulor, the ‚KunstZahnWerk®' concept expresses its commitment to being one of the few dental companies to offer a complete prosthetic system.

At the heart of this system is the Gerber set-up philosophy which ranks as one of the most acclaimed set-up philosophies worldwide and one which has been proven by universities and practical experience over the decades.

At the same time, Candulor attaches great importance to meeting the aesthetic requirements of the patient. A wide range of products which allow the creation of individual dentures have been developed for this purpose.

‚KunstZahnWerk®' competition

The ‚KunstZahnWerk®' competitions have been staged a number of times and are now used by international dental technicians, dental technician masters, denturists as well as Swiss apprentices as a platform to put their capabilities to the test.

The entries are showcased on the Candulor exhibition stands at the International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne, at the DENTAL (leading dental show in Switzerland) as well as at the LMT Lab Day in Chicago where they always prove to be a crowd puller. The awards also attract attention in the press which likes to publish specialist articles based on the fascinating documentation accompanying the entries.

The Candulor prosthetic system includes:

  • Impression systems
  • Anterior and posterior tooth lines in various materials
  • Sets for the individual characterisation of teeth and acrylics
  • Denture base materials
  • Dental instruments and devices
  • Various auxiliary materials

Condyloform® posterior tooth line

Condyloform® posterior teeth were specially developed at the University of Zurich’s Faculty of Dentistry in accordance with the directions of Professor Dr. A. Gerber. The mortar and pestle principle integrated into the functional occlusal surfaces makes it easier to set up the teeth and considerably reduces the grinding procedures associated with reocclusion. Condyloform® posteriors offer multilocal functional stability as well as maximum chewing efficiency and comfort.

The latest generation of Condyloform® II NFC was once again developed in collaboration with the University of Zurich, this time under the direction of Prof. Dr. S. Palla. The prime goal was to achieve a physiologically natural overall impression as well as optimal functionality. In accordance with the mortar and pestle principle, the maxillary palatal cusps are adapted to the mandibular occlusal surfaces. The team of experts in Candulor’s product development translated this research into an optimal product.

By producing the tooth mould in a revolutionary NFC® (NanoFilledComposite) material, Candulor has achieved yet another step into the future. The outstanding properties of this material are: very high abrasion resistance, low plaque adhesion, colour stability and excellent polishing characteristics.

Courses

The Candulor prosthetic system is supplemented by special education and training courses at renowned universities, colleges for master dental technicians and, needless to say, at our own training laboratory in Rielasingen-Worblingen.

We also offer individual courses tailored to the particular requirements of the respective dental laboratory. These are performed directly in the laboratory and can be combined with an information evening for the laboratory’s customers.
